Google was originally called “Backrub.”<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Imagine that every time someone asked you a question they could search for online, you responded with, \u201cI don\u2019t know. Backrub it!\u201d That would have been the case, if co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin had left the company with its original name.<\/p>\n

Fortunately for everyone, they decided to rename the search engine Google.<\/em><\/p>\n

They\u2019ve actually bought domains with common misspellings of its name. That includes \u201cGooogle,\u201d \u201cGoogel,\u201d and Gogle.\u201d<\/p>\n
